Data Extraction

We extract data from high school games

High school games, camps, and showcases produce footage and nothing else. No chips, no tracking system, no broadcast feed. Narrative watches every clip, identifies each athlete by jersey and roster, and hands back structured, per-player data.

Data Extraction

Every player in every clip, identified and on the record.

Narrative reads the jersey, matches it to your roster, and lays each athlete onto the timeline. Your reviewer confirms it, and the data is done.

The Narrative clip review screen: player lanes on a timeline, jersey number and roster identity on the right.

What it is

Every rep, every player, extracted from footage that carried no data at all.

Pro and college programs sit on tracking systems, wearables, and broadcast telemetry. High school programs have a camera on a tripod and a stack of memory cards. Narrative closes that gap. Point it at raw high school footage and it splits the cards into clips, detects every player in frame, reads the jersey number and colour, and matches them against the roster you imported.

The output is data, not just video. Every clip carries who was in it, which drill or which snap it came from, how long each athlete was on screen, and exactly where in the source file it lives. An unsearchable pile of cards becomes a queryable record of a game, a camp, or one athlete’s entire day.

The AI makes the first pass and a person signs it off, so what leaves the system is verified rather than inferred. From there you can pull every rep a single player took across two days, filter a full event down to one drill, export the whole set as CSV, or deliver per-player clips and their data straight into your own S3 bucket.
